Initiated by the Association Friends of Music Dionysios Solomos, the valuable assistance of DIEXODOS Center of Culture and Art and Liaros Group Friends of Historical Costumes and Weapons, an annual event in honor of Athanasios Razi- Kotsikas is jointly organized. Razi Kotsikas was the great leader of 500 men at the night of the Sortie and one of the pioneers of the city's defense who in fact died in the battlefield.
The event takes place in Diexodos, on Thursday before the big parade
on Palm Sunday. There, the founder of Diexodos, Mr. Nikos Kordosis, reverently hands the chariots of Athanasios Razi-Kotsika to Liaros Group Friends of Historical Costumes and Weapons.
After that with the accompaniments of the melodies of Dionysios Solomos Philharmonic, follows a procession to the Garden of Heroes that is then followed by a memorial service.
The revival of the heroic sortie takes place annually in the presence of representatives from foreign states as well as prominent representatives of literature and art from both Greece and abroad.
Messolonghi proudly welcomes the political and state leadership of the country, together with the arrival of the President of the Greek Republic. At the same time, the Sacred City welcomes many visitors who come as pilgrims so as to honor the greatness of this annual “funeral”.
The festivities culminate one week before Easter, in the procession of the Holy Icon of the Exodus, from Saint Spiridon to the Garden of the Heroes, accompanied by thousands of young men and women from all over Greece. On Saturday night, after the slow- paced night parade and a memorial service, the blasting reconstruction of the hero Christos Kapsalis with the participation of the Messolonghi choir takes place.
Agios Sostis is a small islet located in the western part of the lagoon of Messolonghi and owes its name to the homonymous church that stands there. Its history is of great importance. Back in 1770, during the Orlofeia, it was the battlefield where the pirate fleet of Doultiniones fought against the fleet of Messolonghi, defeating the latters, while in 1827 it stood a base for operations for Astingos against the Turks, who at that time occupied Vasiladi. Furthermore, Lord Byron had disembarked on the island of Ai Sostis in January 4th, 1824, in his way to Messolonghi.

In this short period the NOM, revealed champions in national competitions Canoe Kayak, organizes major sporting events (National Championship Development canoeing Tranquil Waters every August and races between teams), operates Sailing School and participates in Sailing rally.
Objectives of NOM is to promote the region internationally-Nautical Training Centre and the development of ecotourism in unique limnothalassio ecosystem.
Already National Teams and Sports clubs, Bulgaria, Serbia, Hungary, Cyprus and Greece have chosen our water for preparation.

The Workshop Special Vocational Education and Rehabilitation "Panagia Eleousa" is Diimerefsis Day-Care Center for people with disabilities and founded in 1990.
It is private law organization namely Charity Association, a non-profit, Specifically Recognized. Under the auspices and control of the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Region Forum. Greece.
The Workshop "Panagia Eleousa" provides services to people trainable and exercisable with mental retardation and related disabilities (physical, sensory, speech, slight mental disorders, autism, Down's syndrome, etc.,) over 15 years from around area Aitoloakarnania / ment free.
These services are provided in both of Educational Units at the Messolonghi and Agrinio.
It is governed by a seven member Board and a three-member Audit Committee, whose members are volunteers.

In 2015, members of the Board of Commerce and the Association ICS Messolonghi made the creation of the Office of Tourism, headed by Mr. Konstantinos Pasiopoulo. The famous Battle of Klisova is one of the most important battles of the Greek History, which occurred back in March 25th, 1826. The battle is revived every year, on the initiative of Liaros Group Friends of Historical Costumes and Weapons.
The reconstruction of the Battle of Klisova takes place in the homonymous islet located in the lagoon of Messolonghi, every March, usually a few days after the national celebration of March 25th.
After several years of absence from the historical events that occur in the Sacred City of Messolonghi, the reconstruction was held for the first time in 2015. The revival of the battle is followed by a memorial service.
