The Contemporary Art Gallery of Christos and Sophia Moschandreou is housed in a neoclassical building of 1835, in the square of Saint Spyridon. It was originally founded in order to accommodate the collections of its founders, but today one can find there works of great painters, sculptors and printmakers of the 19th and 20th century along with the open library of Art and History.
The Gallery preserves the Greek culture and develops the cultural activities throughout the Greek periphery. During its “multicultural” operation, the Gallery has organized several important exhibitions with collections of its works throughout Greece in cooperation with some other relevant cultural institutions.
