Nautical Mesolongiou Group starts its activities in 1967, then built the Athletic Association "Charilaos Trikoupis"
1977 cut from the Association "Charilaos Trikoupis" and officially founded with the name "Nautical Mesolongiou Group" and the emblem Mesolongitiki boat (gaita) with the cloth.

The same year with 15 clubs but set up today's Swimming Federation (by volume) and simultaneously becomes member of Rowing Federation (EKOFNS) where it has a significant presence.

Unfortunately Missolonghi failed to gain swimming pool, which is also a fervent desire.

Today the activities of NOM is Canoe Kayak Tranquil Waters, Water Polo, Offshore Sailing and Scuba Diving.

   The NOM recent years developed with relevant facilities, Sailing and Canoe Kayak Tranquil Waters, taking advantage of the comparative advantage of the region, its calm and shallow waters of the historic lagoon.

   In this short period the NOM, revealed champions in national competitions Canoe Kayak, organizes major sporting events (National Championship Development canoeing Tranquil Waters every August and races between teams), operates Sailing School and participates in Sailing rally.

Objectives of NOM is to promote the region internationally-Nautical Training Centre and the development of ecotourism in unique limnothalassio ecosystem.

Already National Teams and Sports clubs, Bulgaria, Serbia, Hungary, Cyprus and Greece have chosen our water for preparation.
